For my English speaking colleagues and friends:
for me personally, a bicycle is an emission-free commuting vehicle, a training tool, freedom, a partner for discovery, a lifestyle, an attitude of life, and much much more. But for many people on the globe, a bicycle is one thing above all – a real chance for education, livelihood and basic medical services. Recently in a podcast, I learned about the World Bicycle Relief program and I realized, that I want to share with someone an important meaning to my personal sporting challenges.
The World Bicycle Relief produces specially designed bicycles which are robust and assembled on-site. Until today WBR deployed more than 400.000 Buffalo bicycles to pupils, nurses and microentrepreneurs. The costs for such a Buffalo bicycle is 134 € and with my first donation campaign, I would like to collect the money for 4 such bicycles. That means I need to collect for WBR 536 € and therewith 1 € per Kilometer of my “2020 July-Birthday challenge”: Rosenheim in Upper Bavaria to Alsfeld in Hesse with my "29 inch Hardtail" in less than 24 hours riding time with different road conditions"
Thank you so much for supporting my fundraiser!
