Why Bicycles for Gender Equality
When women and girls have access to bikes they also have better access to education, health care and jobs. Bikes help ensure that women and girls enjoy rights, freedom, equality and justice.
On 5 June, the Smashfest Crew will tackle some of the Giants of the Jura to help promote gender equality, raising vital funds for 8 Buffalo Bikes that World Bicycle Relief will ensure reach the hands (and feet) of women and girls in developing communities.
Departing Chambésy footbridge at 0800 on 5 June (to coincide with World Bicycle Day), we'll climb La Barillette, Baudichonne and St Cergue before descending to Nyon for fancy coffee and then returning to Genève. Come join for 1, 2 or all 3 climbs.
Registration for the ride is by way of donation. Smashfest Crew riders are expected and all others are welcome. If you need any further information catch me on WhatsApp on +41 76 708 4738.
Every contribution counts, comrades!
