Pourquoi Mobilized Communities
Dear friends,
As every year I am joining the techbikers tour to support world bicycle relief (wbr). The trip in itself is a lot of fun, as we will be cycling 350 km from Hamburg to Berlin with a lot of startup and fintech people. But more importantly we are fundraising for wbr, one of my favorite charities. Bicycles you might ask - yes bicycles - mobility allows children to go to school, parents to get supplies and water, doctors to see patients and communities to grow closer together. Wbr build a sturdy and easy to repair so-called buffalo bike that is made for the wear and tear of subsaharan Africa. Each bicycle costs 147 euro and on our last trip we altogether donated around 500 bicycles and changed several thousand lifes (as a bicycle is used by several people).
As an initial donation goal I set 777 euro, but I certainly plan to exceed this goal with your help. Ideally you donate an entire bicycle, every euro helps, the smallest donation is appreciated.
