More details on the fundraising project below:
This year’s donations will finance a designated education program for Sikalozya Primary School around Mazabuka, Southern Zambia. Sikalozya is a small school up to grade 9 in a very poor community that is clearly experiencing the economic impact of the global pandemic. Also in Zambia, schools have been closed for a big part of last year and only recently opened again. Kids have been without access to education for months as digital learning is not possible with the lack of computers, phones and often even electricity. Currently, the huge challenge is to bring the children back to school. Many of them had to start working to survive. Especially girls are at risk not to find their way back into education, they marry early for economic reasons, got pregnant during the pandemic or families cannot effort school fees anymore. We believe, bicycles can play a role in bringing kids back to school. Now more than ever.
By providing bicycles to children, especially girls, you can empower them with knowledge and ultimately, change the course of their lives.
