We biked a total of 45 kilometers yesterday! From home, our destination was ‘t Geertje, a farm and garden with a simple restaurant in the pastoral setting of the Noord Aa. The ride was windy and a bit chilly, counter to the sunny weather we had last week. I’d rather distance bike in cooler conditions than in the blazing sun.
We parked our bikes at the farm, and soon after I saw a hen snuggle in with her chicks next to my bike (with the black crate).
With two wheels, health volunteers are saving lives. They’re working to eliminate malaria, cure diseases, teach health and nutrition, and visit more homebound patients.
