Pourquoi Bicycles for Gender Equality
In cycling, I have found my power and my passion and I am convinced that cycling has the power to change other women’s lives, too. I want to share my power with other girls.
In many countries in the world, girls take on the dangers of physical, sexual, and psychological damage each and every day on their way to school with the fierce dedication to get their education. Education is one of the most important ways to end poverty, gender inequality and brutal sexual and physical practices against women and girls. If these girls had bicycles, they could get to school much safer and faster. With my fundraiser I want to give at least 5 bicycles for this purpose. Therefore, I plan to do a “sponsored ride” for the World Bicycle Day on June 5, 2021. I am going to start cycling in the morning and do as many kilometers as I can on this day.
