Investing in women and girls will change the world. With bicycles, they can access education, healthcare and livelihoods to break the cycle of poverty and thrive.
MOBILIZING WOMEN AND GIRLS
Throughout developing regions, women and girls face cultural obstacles that limit their access to quality education, well-paid employment, quality reproductive healthcare, and property rights. Women and girls with bicycles are empowered to unlock their potential and have:
- More time and energy to focus on educational pursuits
- More safety and confidence en route to schools and clinics
- More choice and privacy when accessing healthcare
- Greater earning potential
- Improved standing in the household
Maybe they even find a career in cycling or the cycling industry and that would be worth every penny - trust me on that.
With two wheels, health volunteers are saving lives. They’re working to eliminate malaria, cure diseases, teach health and nutrition, and visit more homebound patients.
